The Angry Mobs

Paul Krugman writes in today's New York Times of "The Town Hall Mob"

"angry protesters [at town hall meetings] — some of them, with no apparent sense of irony, shouting “This is America!” — have been drowning out, and in some cases threatening, members of Congress trying to talk about health reform."

But this is the scariest part of all:

"Mr. Obama’s backers seem to lack all conviction, perhaps because the prosaic reality of his administration isn’t living up to their dreams of transformation. Meanwhile, the angry right is filled with a passionate intensity."

Creatures for Obama!

Trot and Trilly hosted the WILDLIFE FOR OBAMA rally, which was held in the meadow at their residence in the Upper Mississippi River Valley just outside of Stockholm, Wisconsin. Participants included the Black Squirrel, a dozen chipmunks, 24 ordinary grey squirrels, the ghost of the black bear, flocks of birds too numerous to mention, several ducks and geese, and they even held their noses for a skunk family. Trot chased off a possum who showed up with a McCain/Palin sign, then chewed the sign to shreds and peed on it. Trot and Trilly urge you to vote for Obama tomorrow, as they have had it with global warming and everything it has meant to their lives and the lives of their wild friends.
